 FAQs

  • No! It is a great skill to have and makes learning easier but it is not a prerequisite for lessons with me.

  • For piano lessons, at home practice is the most important thing for retention. The time we spend together in lessons is to learn new songs and techniques. At home practice solidifies what we learn in class. Therefore, a piano or a keyboard is needed at home.

  • Of course not! Music education is accessible to all! I use books that are written specifically for older beginners and those returning to music lessons after a long time away.

  • Absolutely! The studio is split into two major spaces: the area where I teach and a lovely waiting room. In the waiting room, you’ll find comfy chairs, complimentary coffee and tea, and a washroom. For siblings waiting for their lesson, there’s even a keyboard with headphones and music theory worksheets and colouring pages!
