Hi, I’m Lyndsay!

Nice to meet you!

To me, music is more than just notes on a page - it’s a form of connection, expression, and joy.

I’ve been teaching piano and voice to students of all ages for over a decade, and I truly believe that music is for everyone. Whether you’re five or fifty-five, whether you’re a beginner or brushing up after years away, I’ll meet you where you are and help you grow from there.

I use a variety of teaching techniques - including games, goal-setting, and creative incentives - to make lessons fun, meaningful, and tailored to each student.

More than anything, I aim to foster a love for music and build lasting confidence in my students.

Music has always been part of my story.

I can still remember the first time I sat at a piano - I didn’t know what I was doing, but I knew I loved it.

Music became a space where I could be creative, express myself, and just be. That early spark turned into a lifelong passion not only for playing—but for sharing music with others.

As a teacher today, I try to bring that same joy and curiosity into every lesson. Whether it’s a student’s first note or their first recital, I want it to feel exciting, supported, and meaningful - just like it did for me.

Rooted in music. Driven by connection.

I’ve always believed that teaching is just as much about people as it is about music.

Every student brings their own story, energy, and rhythm - and I’m here to meet them with patience, encouragement, and care.

Outside the studio, I stay connected to my community through volunteer performances at local retirement homes, directing The Bold Voices of Ottawa, and creating opportunities for people to come together through music.

In 2020, I was proud to be published by Alfred Music, a moment that reminded me how far a little passion can go.

This isn’t just what I do - it’s who I am.

And I’d be honored to be part of your musical journey

Who am I outside work?

When I’m not teaching or performing, you’ll likely find me crafting, reading a good book, tending to my garden, or enjoying a walk outdoors!

I love creativity in all its forms, and I bring that same energy into my teaching.

These small joys fuel my love for sharing music with others - they keep me inspired, balanced, and present.
